to expansion, T M Lewin, shirtmakers since 1898, approached Penwright
Supply Limited to find a solution to double the storage capacity
of their Distribution Centre in Basildon, Essex.
Penwright was able to utilise the height of TM Lewin's warehouse
by adding and splicing uprights to their existing to provide additional
storage levels with access walkways and staircases.
Mezzanine floors were married seamlessly for holding and handling
areas.

Reversible Incline Belt Conveyor was designed and installed to enable
safe and easy movement of goods to and from the upper level.
With careful planning and safety coordination (under CDM), this
was all carried out whilst the TM Lewin Distribution Centre was
fully operational.
The project was complete within budget and on time ready for TM
Lewin's scheduled large stock in-take for continued smooth running
ready for their numerous new shop openings.
