We needed to relocate our own archive storage to free up valuable warehouse storage space for stock and the only available space was in our meeting room which is located on the mezzanine floor over our offices.

We therefore needed to maximise the use of the limited space and the "Compactus Office Electro" powered mobile shelving system has provided the ideal solution. It has condensed our archive into the minimum floorspace and now provides a sample installation for customers to inspect in operation.

It is available in a number of attractive finishes to complement existing furniture (we chose Apple) and comes with its own integral floor which is laid directly onto the existing floor surface. This means that installation is clean, quick and quiet. Power is provided from the standard 240 volt supply and all moving parts are fully enclosed.

Simple touch-pads allow access into the system, and all the mobile units can be moved at once if required. They are silent and smooth in action and incorporate safety devices to prevent personnel becoming trapped in the gangways.

At the end of the day the end unit can be locked in the closed position and the installation is secure.

We use plain shelves but since the shelving is Dexion's "Sysco" system a full range of accessories is available such as pull-out filing frames and drawers, lateral filing internals, dividers and pigeonholes.
